The kukri is a forward-angled chopper, and ours are forged to work: a heavy, full-tang blade with the classic downward bend that puts weight behind the edge for clearing, chopping and camp tasks. We forge them in Damascus and high-carbon steel from roughly 10 to 14 inches, with hardwood, bone and horn handles, and each ships with a leather sheath.
