What we forge

The hunting line covers the profiles that actually get used in the field: drop-point and clip-point fixed blades for general work, dedicated skinners and caping knives, and gut-hook models for opening game without nicking the hide. Blades run 4 to 6 inches, forged in pattern-welded Damascus and Wootz for buyers who want figure, and in D2 tool steel for a harder, semi-stainless edge that holds up through a wet season. Every knife is full-tang and ships with a hand-stitched leather sheath.

Who stocks them, and when

Hunting knives are a seasonal engine for gun shops, outfitters, sporting-goods stores and taxidermy suppliers, and orders deepen ahead of fall. A mixed lot lets you cover the price-conscious hunter and the collector out of the same case. Because these are hand-forged rather than blister-packed imports, they carry a story at the counter and a markup a big-box hunting knife never will.

Steel, edge and care

Damascus and Wootz take a keen edge and etch to a distinct grain, but they are high-carbon and reward a wiped-down, lightly oiled blade. D2 is the low-maintenance pick for humid country. Everything is heat-treated to a working hardness and ground for field dressing, not for show, so the knife performs the day your customer gets it home.
